To give Sam a break from all the trainspotting, today he tried a bit of planespotting instead. I'm not sure which is worse.
It was a lovely afternoon, warm and sunny, so we decided it would be a perfect opportunity to take in the evening sunset while watching some monstrously large and screamingly loud machines roar over our heads. Why not?
So, we headed to Myrtle Avenue, and watched a few go by as the sun decended. Sam was pretty awe-struck by the noise and closeness of the planes. I'm sure we will head back to Heathrow again soon.
OK, so in the video the plane looks pretty titch and not at all awe inspiring, but I can assure you that theplanes were really close and noisy. Put it this way, you would not want to live on Myrtle Avenue!
