A visit to the Stockport Chapter

This weekend we drove up to Stockport to visit the family. We arrived at around 9:00pm due to a slightly late departure time and the one-stop journey (M6 Corley - great view of the carriageway from KFC). No problems on the way, but Sam had difficulty getting to sleep. It was 11:00pm by the time he finally got to sleep.

Saturday started late. An 8:50am rise - a record for Sam, due to the late bedtime. Lots of activity with all the people arriving and coming to see Sam. Auntie Janet was there and Ant, Gabby, Patrick and Rory arrived, Linda's friends Margaret, Joyce and Hazel came and then Auntie Joanne and Saul arrived from a long drive through Wales. Sadly Auntie Claire couldn't make it as she was away, camping (!!). There was a barbecue and delicious food for everyone and TWO cakes for Sam. He was only allowed one of them, however, as one was a bit too sweet for him. He wolfed down a slice of Mummy's banana loaf - no worries about that one!

Later in the afternoon there a bit of prezzie opening. Sam got lots of booty, including a spinning cat toy, a very nice book, some snazzy clothes, lots of cards and best of all, some vouchers so Mummy can get some new clothes. Thank you everyone for all the great gifts. Sam thinks they're very tasty!

On Sunday we went for a coffee at the Orangery, a friendly cafe in Heaton Moor, a chance to stretch our legs and for Sam to do a bit of people watching.
