Broadstairs

Last weekend we went to stay with Sue and James in Kent, but we met them at Broadstairs. It was a lovely sunny day, quite hot, but not too scorching. The beach is sandy and not too crowded - generally a nice atmosphere.

Sam was a little unsure at first about walking on the sand, but with a little encouragement (lifting and plonking) he got the hang of it. We made our way down to the waterline and got our toes wet and then Sam got into throwing stones into the water.

After about 20 minutes of stone throwing we went to have a look at the other amusements on offer on the beach. Sam had two goes on the bouncy castle and two on the roundabout.

After all this fun in the sun, we made our way back to Sue and James' house in Marden. We has a delicious barbecue and stayed the night.
