Happy Zoo Year !

To celebrate the new year, we went to London Zoo as a special treat. Sam saw a tiger and seemed to be quite impressed. Well, his eyes lit up for about 5 seconds and then he was bored. He liked the black spider monkeys as they were a bit more entertaining. Most of the other animals were hiding from us and the day was spent trying to spot the lions, meerkats, penguins, elephants, giraffes or anything else interesting. Actually London Zoo doesen't have elephants or giraffes any more - they've been moved out to Whipsnade. We will definitely have to go back when it's a bit warmer and the animals are more inclined to be outside and, well, visible.



I do think that Sam enjoyed being at the zoo, for a little while, at least. He probably enjoyed the tube journey more though.
