Just as Papa was departing to Spain, Grandad was falling ill in Stockport.
Angela wanted to go up to Stockport to lend a hand and support Grandma,
so we decided that it would be best if Angela and Sam stayed up for a few days
and I would hold the fort in Walthamstow.
Sam & Angela visited Grandad every day and helped cheer him up when he was so poorly.
I'm sure just having Sam around will have helped Grandma cope with all the comings and goings.
A nice distraction, at any rate.
Sam has learned to climb stairs !!! While at Grandma's house, where the stairs are wider and not so steep as they are in Walthamstow, Sam learned to clamber up and bump down again (with mummy, of course). Sam loves to climb stairs now, there'll be no holding him back. Sam is upwardly mobile !
