Angela reports Sam's first crawl under his own steam. He has been threatening to get underway for a few weeks but without any proper crawling. Lots of pushing and bouncing but without the co-ordinated arm movements.
Sunday morning, while daddy was having his weekly 'lie-in', Sam reportedly managed a commando-style elbow-led crawl over a massive 4 inch distance.
We are, of course, very excited by this, and are furiously tying things down. Perhaps we should just tie Sam down and leave everything else.
More on this news later. Video will follow, when we catch him in action.

THE EASIEST THING IS JUST TO NAIL HIM DOWN.
BEST WAY NOT TO CAUSE HIM ANY PAIN IS FOR A GENERAL ANAESTHETIC AND THEN GET A BLACK AND DECKER WITH A SMALL DRILL, MAKE SURE IT IS SMALL OTHERWISE YOU MAY GET SOME SORT OF SLIPPAGE IF YOU USE NAILS THAT ARE TOO SMALL. iT MIGHT ALSO BE A GOOD IDEA TO PUT LITTLE PLASTIC SLEEVES IN TO REDUCE THE PROBLEMS OF RUST FOR WHEN HO GOES OUT IN THE RAIN.
That is definitely child abuse! You are now on a register, somewhere.
Of course it is NOT child abuse. I did say give a general anasthetic first and also plastic sleeves.
Anyway I suppose really you should just put bolts in the floor that would fit through the hole and then just a nut on top of the foot would do the job so you could then take him out and of course later send him down the mines when he gets to around 5 or 6 I suppose.
